The owner has been involved in fiberglass lamination since 1987. Starting in the boat business as a general laborer, he moved up quickly to crew leader, foremen, supervisor, and plant Manager. Along the way he picked up many awards and achievements for his dedication to the craft. He is also a State of NJ Certified Lamination instructor and has taught Fiberglass lamination classes at Cumberland County Vo-Tech school.
In March 2001, he decided to take the big jump of becoming his own boss and started Fiberdex. Installing fiberglass decks on plywood is much different than building a boat out of a mold, so there was a learning curve. At the time, the competition's quality of work left much to be desired. His goal was and has always been to be the best at what he does and provide the best customer service along the way. It wasn't long before a standard layup procedure was established that would hold up to a ten year warranty which, by the way, Fiberdex was the first to offer.
In 2010 we received an award for best in quality on a Sea Isle City project.
In 2011, we received the highest compliment from the dept head of Egg Harbor City inspections when he told us that in 27 years, he had never seen such fine workmanship.
